Denim dyeing and washing business has gained much bigger importance with increasing jean preference. Indigo and sulphur dyes are mainly used for denim dyeing. Since indigo and sulphur dyestuffs are oxidized, and become insoluble after dying processes denims have good washing fastness properties and a high light fastnesses because these dyestuffs also donot have azo functional groups.
