Denim dyeing business has gained a much bigger role with increasing jean preference. Especially indigo(vat) and sulphur dyes have an important part in denim dyeing business. Since indigo and sulphur dyestuffs are oxidized after dying processes and become insoluble, they have good washing fastness properties and also they have high light fastnesses, since they donot have disazo functional groups. Therefore the forementioned dyestuffs are highly preferred in denim dyeing.
